A friend of mine suggested it's better for us to go to Tangkuban Perahu early in the morning, so you will experience the chillness of the weather up there.
So we departed from Aston around 0830 hrs and passed the Cipaganti Road. I realised that Cipaganti Road is located near to Rumah Mode.
The oldest mosque
Btw, most of rich people live here, and one of them is the son of ex Indo President - their weekend house.

According to Pak Asep, it's easy to notice the Chinese's house - A mansion, high fence and gate as the Chinese are the brain for economy in Bandung. Which explains the need of security.

The journey to Tangkuban Perahu, from Aston was about an hour drive. Was it one hour? I think it took us one hour to reach there.
Anyways, our journey continued..
University for teachers, which is still under construction
Hotel
We even passed the cowboy town.

Around 1000 hrs, we finally reached our destination - Tangkuban Perahu. Tangkuban Perahu is actually in West Bandung, and it's a volcano. It is an active volcano which last erupted in 1983.
Tangkuban Perahu which means flipped/upturned (Tangkuban) boat (Perahu), and the name exist as the shape of the mountain looks like a flipped boat.
This legend begins with the tale of "
Sangkuriang" (full story can read it from
here) where there was a beauty called Dayang Sumbi who got married with a dog (named Tumang) and had a son named Sangkuriang. Although she married a dog, Sangkuriang was human-like. However she never disclosed who was his father.
One day, Dayang Sumbi was craving for the liver of tiger. So Sangkuriang and Tumang went to the jungle to find one. Couldn't find one, Sangkuriang killed the dog and brought the liver to his mom. The mom ate it.
Few days later the mom asked on the dog whereabout, and Sangkuriang revealed the truth. Surprised, the mom told the son that the dog was his father. She then cast away her son, Sangkuriang and in her sadness she was granted the power of eternal youth by the Gods.
After many years being away, Sangkuriang reached one place and found a beautiful lady. Instantly, he fell in love unknowing that she was his mom. However, the mom recognised his mark and told him that she was his mother.
In order to prevent the marriage from taking place, Dayang Sumbi asked Sangkuriang to build a large boat to cross the river before the sunrise.
Seeing that Sangkuriang was almost succeeded in building the boat (with the help of mythical creatures), Dayang Sumbi called on her workers to spread red silk cloths east of the city to give the impression of sunrise.
Sangkuriang thought that he had failed, kicked the unfinished boat, resulting the creation of Tangkuban Perahu from the hull of the boat.
The crater of Mt. Tangkuban PerahuAnyways, I can't remember how much we paid for the entrance, but will post it once I found the receipts.

The area - You can even smell the sulphur.

I thought it's going to be chill.. and boy, it was humid!
Hampehs.
If you are an adventurous person and/or the one who appreciates mother nature, you can go by jungle trailing and/or hiking to this place. Depends on where your starting point is. If it's the nearest point to Tangkuban, it will take you about 2 hours (at least) walk. If it's a little bit far, it can take you about 12 hours hiking.
The fee for hiking tour guide is on hourly basis. The longer you hike, it will cost you more.
But be careful with the guides who like to charge more than what have agreed.
Anyhow, the nearby shops.

It is advisable
NOT TO BUY ANYTHING from here, because they surely mark up the price 700-1000 % (seven hundred to one thousand percent), as told by Pak Asep.
Pokok batik? Beautiful indeed, but heard it's haunted. Yikes!
Belerang - Good for your skin.
Can use it for scrubbing
This guy never give up to sell his souvenir.
He followed us from the moment we got out from the car, until we headed back.
Sold for Rph 100,000 (RM36.70), from Rph 200,000 (RM73.40).
But you can easily get for Rph 25,000 (RM9.18) at Pasar Baru
We spent about 40 minutes up here and quickly made our way to the strawberry (picking) farm.

The entrance fee was Rph 5ooo (RM1.84) per person and the strawberry(ies) will be weighed per kilo - Rph 55,000 (RM 20.19 per kilo). My advised.. not to pick too many strawberries. You are going to waste them as the strawberries are perishable item. Unless you are able to finish it.
Rested at a hut
Let the picking begins.
Ready to go to the weighing station
The complimentary iced strawberry drink
We continued our journey to Kampung Daun. Actually, whoever goes to Tangkuban Perahu will stop at Restoren Daun for their meal. It's a must go place.
Fruit stalls, selling oranges and pumpkins.
Entered village(s) full with florist.
Pak Asep told us that people in Bandung usually rent flowers from the florist so they can use it for decoration during weddings. (I dont think KL has this kind of service, what I know.. we normally buy the flowers for weddings.. unless you engaged with wedding planner or something).
Anyways, with 30-40 minutes zig zag and bumpy rides from Tangkuban Perahu, we finally arrived in Kampung Daun.

Inside Kampung Daun, they have bungalows.. Can't recall the name of the housing area. Was it Triniti? Further up, you'll reach the said Restaurant.
Personally, I think restaurants like Bor.a O.mbak, Bor.a As.mara, Sub.ak and/or Nail.is are nothing compared to Kampung Daun Restaurant.
Warm greetings
The restaurant compound

Dining area
Serious, bau makanan menusuk kalbu bila waiter ni passed by
Previously the stream was quite wide, but later they did some development and this is what left now.

The menu,

Can you see the kayu, next to the white curtain on top (left) of this (below) picture? If you want to place an order and/or call waiter, you gotta give it a knock.
These white cracker shall be eaten with the sambal.

For all these, (5 adults and 1 child) the meal cost about Rph 500,000 (RM183.50)

The funny thing was, when the food has yet to be served.. there was no fly. Not even one. But once the food has been spread on the table.. flies came out of no where. Surprise.. surprise..
We ended up eating our food in a jiff and (not) really taking our sweet time to finish up our meal. As soon as we settled our bill, we had mini tour inside. They have few animals inside such as chicken and parrots.

From Kampung Daun, we had to go back to Aston because Daddy's Girl has just completed her major business and polluted the air inside the van. Quickly changed her and we make another quick stop at Pasar Baru (again???) Spent for 2 hours only, as my mom needs to buy few more souvenir in form of threads.
Should be noted that Pasar Baru is definitely not a place for person who is not into threads.
Then we stopped at Toko 3, a place where they sell jeans (especially Levi's) in low price. The price as low as Rph 200,000 and can go up to Rph 800,000 (RM 73.40 - RM 312.00) Hahaha.. not as cheap as I expected. With that kind of price, we can go to Levi's factory outlet in Carre.four, Wangsa Maju KL.
The price in Toko Tiga varies according to the cutting. If 501, it was around Rph 800,000. If for ladies.. the price is much cheaper than men.

Spent not more than 20 minutes inside the store and we went to the kids' outlet - Anakecil.

And this place is heaven! Finally I found a really nice place to bargain kids stuff. For (non-branded) sleeveless, they were selling for Rph 12,500 (RM 4.50). They also have designer's dress (RL, Burberry) as well as Next. Really-really-really cheap. Cheaper than Brands Outlet in KL.
What I like about this store - First and foremost, I don't have to dig the threads! They are all well-organised and coordinated with age.
Not only that, they also have play area in the left side of the shop.. suit with the fathers who need to babysit their babies. Ehem...
For dinner, we had at Warung. Can't remember the name though, but everything was in a big portion. This was the time where we managed to taste Bakso.

We were also serenaded by them. You name it, Ungu? Isabella? Just request any song.
Hahaha..
Rock kapak with leather jacket
His favourite - Teh botol.

And resulted
